----------------------------------------------------------------

I have wanted to be a mom since I was about 5 years old. I got my wish when I was 28 and gave birth to my beautiful daughter Boogie.  Two years later we had another beautiful baby girl, Baby.  Three years after that my world was turned upside down when I found out I was again pregnant and carrying twin boys.  Just to make life interesting, I received a birth diagnosis of Down syndrome for my son Bunny.

I truly had no idea how challenging motherhood can be.  I love it and I wouldn't change a thing but man...being a parent is HARD work!

If I had spare time I imagine I would love to make jewelry, take pictures and read.  I love being outdoors, movies and I love shopping.  In reality, I spend a lot of time making food for my family, being a taxi and taking my kids to the park.  When my mom duties are over for the day I de-stress with a workout and after doing my night chores I love to read blogs, pin recipes and research Down syndrome.

If you would like to read more about the early days with my twins check out my older blog One Day at a Time

I named this blog Un-fancy Mama because it's truly what I am.  There is not a fancy bone in my body.
