Easter Snack

I signed up for a bunch of class party snacks at Parent night back in September and I smartly added all the dates to my phone so I wouldn't forget.  Then I got a new phone and all my good intentions were erased. Yesterday (Tuesday) I got an email that Boogie's class party had been moved from Thursday to Wednesday.  As I scrolled through the e-mail I was surprised to find my name as one of the snack moms. I had a mandatory meeting to attend last night at school so I knew I needed something quick and easy....but cute.

I always bring fruits or veggies because if I don't there will only be junk food.  I also want to make sure there is something Boogie can eat.  She is gluten and dairy free right now so there is not a lot of options for her.  I always try to make my snack visually appealing and fun.  When you have fruit competing with desserts it needs a leg up.

Anyway, quick and easy.  I scrolled through Pinterest quickly and decided we would do flowers.  I already had skinny lollipop sticks so I just needed a flower cookie cutter.  I got a set of 5 flower sizes at Michaels.  I picked up cantaloupe and watermelon.  I already had the apples.

I cut the apples and put them in the fridge soaking in lemon juice so they wouldn't turn brown over night.  Then I cut the fruit.  Do yourself a favor and skip cantaloupe.  What a pain.  I only got 4 flowers from a whole cantaloupe.  Seedless watermelon is the way to go.

The whole thing took me about a half hour.  Super easy and my kids think they are awesome.
